Bobby Tank – “The Way EP”

Bobby Tank is the new wunderkind of glitchy electrofunk, a producer and performer who makes music that sounds like a mosaic of every great electronic dance style of the past 30 years.

On his new EP ‘The Way’ – due for release on February 25th through MofoHifi – Bobby blends dubstep, garage and trap music with a cacophony of samples and sounds resulting in 6 tracks of sublime electronic music.

Bobby grew up in London and whilst teaching himself how to become a turntablist and scratch DJ and multi-instrumentalist, he stumbled across a new kind of future-funk. Over a series of releases this year, he has established himself as a “mad maximalist” being compared to Rustie and Hudson Mohawke.

With remixes under his belt for Niki and the Dove, AlunaGeorge and Rudi Zygadlo already, 2013 will no doubt see Bobby captivate even more of his peers, the tastemakers and the public with ‘The Way’ EP.
